I have decided that I would like to make the kids some clothes for summer and for play. I haven't had much practice at it. I think one reason I haven't done more is that I have always had trouble with following a pattern. I usually end up just eye balling it and then try to adjust it. I was exited to hear that this is exactly how they make clothes here in Egypt. No pattern needed. There are streets and streets of fabric sellers down town, but where I am I only know of 2 stores. Going down town is an all day trip. I have to admit the fabric patterns here are really not of my taste (a lot of blue roses). I am determined, however, to make something that I think is beautiful out of them. I did find out that you can get a pair of pants made here for about $2.00, but where is the fun in that. Here are some pictures of things I have made in the past...now that I've looked at them, maybe I better leave the sewing up to the professionals.
